Today around 3:15 pm, an overhead Disney sign ,near Epcot, fell to the ground after a motorist crashed a SUV into it, Florida Patrol said.
On World and Epcot Center drive, a Dodge Durango left the road and struck a guardrail. Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Kim Montes said.
The SUV then struck a pole which cause the overhead sign to fall to the ground.
“The sign is blocking the southbound lanes of World drive at this time. Montes said. “A crane is in route to remove and repair the sign.”
Troopers have reported that one person was taken to the local hospital, but no life threatening threats.
