New Metal Detectors?!

Just recently a man was arrested with a gun at Walt Disney World.

Is the Happiest place on earth turning into a target?

Today, Disney surprised guests with metal detectors at the entrance of each park. With that they also are banning guests 14 and older to dress up even on Holiday seasons and also banning the sales of toy guns. Also, Disney is adding more security guards to the parks and resorts.

Not only is Disney World doing this, but Universal is testing out the system and Sea World is using them for the Holidays.

Disney has said: “We continually review our comprehensive approah of security and are implenting additional security measures, as appropriate.”

What do you think of this? Do you think this will help with security?

I’m upset about the costume thing. I hope it’s not a forever thing because I really wanted to go to a Disney Halloween party dressed up.

Also, if they got rid of all toy guns did they just clear out the Pirates gift shop?

Yeah! I saw a lot of people complaining about the costume ban! Even though I don’t really dress up, I enjoy looking at all the different costumes!
I think they banned toy guns in every shop! I feel like the fake swords are more dangerous than toy guns! Every time I go in the queue area I always wait for a kid to come running out and swinging the sword at passing people. It is cute but also kind of funny!
